Kickstarter has been a great location for venture capitalist as well as common customers to find out what the next big thing really is. For those of you who don’t know what Kickstarter is, Kickstarter is a global crowdfunding platform that works to bring creative projects into real life. Kickstarter provides companies a great way to appealing to the crowd while allowing the companies to make some money while at it. Over 7.3 million people have donated to certain projects collecting over $1 billion dollars for different projects.
Drumpants, a product owned and created by Tappur, started their own campaign on January 9th 2014. With an initial goal of reaching $35,000, Tappur raised over $73,000 with 558 backers, creating a strong buzz around the product. Many people may wonder how a wearable technology that makes drum noises became so successful. For those people I recommend reading everything about drumpants. The wearable technology that Tappur offers are not just for music lovers, but for people who want to open doors, check texts, or make a call in a matter of touching one’s pants. This can be seen as the future. Who knows, in 10 years the term people won’t be making a call they might be tapping for one.
