The auris is a bluetooth music receiver, enabling full potential of mobile devices and docking station.

The auris: Bluetooth Is The Elegant And Convenient Solution You Need To Enjoy The Full Potential Of Your Mobile Devices And Docking Station

The docking station may have been a concept that revolutionized mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, but they still present a major inconvenience – in order to utilize their speakers to play your favorite tunes, your phone/tablet has to be plugged in. Whether you opt for inserting the mobile device directly in the 30-pin slot or you sync it via an auxiliary cable, you still need to be in the proximity of the docking station to use it. Therefore, your tablet/smartphone suddenly becomes less “mobile”.

Don’t fret though, there is a way to eliminate this nuisance and actually regain the portability of your communication device, let me introduce you to the auris Bluetooth music receiver. What this elegant and tiny gadget does is create a wireless connection between your phone and docking station, therefore eliminating the need for the physical proximity of the two devices. What exactly makes this innovation worthwhile you ask? Several reasons in fact, including:

  •  The ability to play music directly via the smartphone from anywhere around your home in a 33 foot radius, ignoring obstacles because the transmission is based on Bluetooth 2.1 technology.
  •  You can utilize the same docking station for virtually any smart mobile device, irrespective of the brand, model or operating system (iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows, etc.)
  • It ensures that newer connection systems like the one incorporated in the iPhone 5 version will not render the older docking stations obsolete.
  • Synchronizing is made automatically and instantaneously when the last mobile device is within its range.
  • Does not require another connection to an electrical outlet.

In my opinion, the best thing about the auris Bluetooth is that I can actually play all the games supported by my iPad with a higher sound quality than the one provided by the integrated speakers, which, let’s face it, is less than ideal. If you’ve ever played old-school games on an ancient computer with a SoundBlaster soundcard amplified by 2 standard edition speakers, then you probably know that the experience is not nearly as immersive compared to the output of a 7.1 Surround Sound system. Well, the difference between the playback of tablet gaming soundtracks on the internal speakers of the device and the docking station is pretty much like that.

Another feature I really appreciate is that, thanks to the auris Bluetooth, the only time I need to plug my phone in the docking station is when the battery runs out. On those late Sunday afternoons when all you want to do is surf the web, read the news or check your Facebook, there’s no need to pull out your laptop or turn on the desktop. You can simply do all these things AND listen to your favorite music tracks without the need to fire up an additional gadget. Add the extra 33 foot mobility range and the fact that I’ll never miss out another message because I left my phone in the other room – I’m definitely sold!

The project is still in prototype phase and if you want to back it up, you can support the development via the revolutionary Kickstarter.
