Doughnut Safe
If you are worried about leaving valuables in your car then Doughnut Safe might offer you a smart solution. The brainchild of Brent Garcia, Doughnut Safe cleverly allows you to transform a spare tire into a locking safe that will provide you with maximum security without cluttering your boot.
When Brent wanted to store his own valuables in the car, it occurred to him that using the empty space already inside his spare tire might make a lot of sense. After a day of trial and error, Brent had a working prototype and a blueprint created in AutoCad. He sent the file to the laser cutters and with a little extra work ‘Dougnut Safe’ was born.
Successful Siblings
It was a stroke of genius that brother and business partner Eldrick immediately took to.
‘To be honest, Brent’s mind and hands are constantly working. He has such a passion for what he does that ideas just come to him.’ Eldrick explains,’He has a great mind, is really clever, and loves to tinker. His dream is to be able to create inventions all day in his lab, just like Tony Stark. Doughnut Safe was just an idea that occurred to him when he wanted to store valuables in his car without taking up extra visible space.’
Thus, the brothers opted to work together on the project and you can see how that’s going on their Kickstarter page where they have so far raised $1,375 of their $9,000 target.
Their Story So Far
But this isn’t the first time the duo have brought an item to Kickstarter. Previously, they’ve raised funds for the ‘Fish Bone Knotless Gear Tie’ and begun to form their own outdoor goods company ‘Out-Tek’ based on that success.
‘While my brother Brent has always had an eye for design & a hand for creation, I have always had the entrepreneurial spirit.’ Says Eldrick of their partnership.’Business has always been a passion of mine & it just happens that I have deep tech & logistics experience to go with it. Brent creates and I sell. We make a great team and I am thrilled about working with my brother in sharing his unique and useful products with the world.’
