Product Spotlight: Ninja Standing Desk

Today we’re highlighting a product called the Ninja Standing Desk. Dan McDonley designed this desk because hours of sitting in front of his laptop started to take an unbearable toll on his back. Since the whole purpose of a laptop is to make it portable, his desk needed to be too. Hence, he designed the first standing, portable desk that will soon hit the market. It can hang from any door and folds up small enough to fit into a standard backpack or laptop bag. The health benefits of being able to stand while you work or play on your computer is enormous! Since the amount of time each day our society is spending on computers only continues to rise, standing while doing this will help increase blood flow, burn calories and promote good posture among other things.

If you’re like me, you’ve been reading all the news the last couple of years of studies showing how living longer is directly associated to how much you sit versus standing, even more so than how much you exercise!  The Ninja Desk has already lived up to its name and taken off with the speed of a ninja on Kickstarter. It just launched on Kickstarter earlier this morning. In less than 24 hours, it has already achieved 78% of its backing goal and still has 36 days remaining!!  To help fund this great product you can go to his Kickstarter launch page here.
