From IT Guys to Entrepreneurs
The two ‘regular guys’ from Silicon Valley with a ‘geek inside’ mentality who make up Itus Networks have been in the network security industry for a long time. While providing free ‘IT repair’ services for their friends (all techies can relate), they realised that there was a niche in the market for easy and effective business-grade protection.
‘We loved fixing their computers, setting up their network protection and removing viruses.’ They explain, ‘But the threats kept coming back and they became increasingly worse. In particular, we regularly cleaned up computer viruses and malware from the computers of our parents. In some cases, we would find hundreds of these threats on their harddrives, slowing down the computers, Internet access and just jeopardizing all the data and information they had on these computers.’
iGuardian is their solution to this problem, and with $99,012 of a $125,000 goal, it seems that there’s a real demand for this kind of security.
